On Wednesday South’s lunchroom turned to chaos when a fight erupted. Students in third lunch were eating when two boys began throwing punches at each other before being held back by those around them. South Student Alex Richardson said that “they were pulled apart for awhile before one kid broke loose and then the cops showed up. One cop actually got punched.”
Gretta Strand, another witness, stated that “some police officers came in from outside and forced the kids towards a hallway. Squad cars came and I’m pretty positive the boy that got loose got tased.”
None of South’s staff would comment out of legal obligation until the investigation about this incident was solved. It was said that everyone involved only suffered minor injuries and the investigation would likely be closed soon.
