Charlie Chinander-McFaul, Staff Writer
You’ll usually find Charlie Chinander-McFaul listening to alternative noise pop or perusing his collection of old maps and globes, but recently you can find him somewhere else; on the staff of the Southerner.
Chinander-McFaul, a sophomore, is excited to to be a new Staff Writer this year and to work on his writing skills. Being an avid writer with an interest in politics, Chinander-McFaul wants to learn different writing styles and get his own opinions out in the world. He hopes his time on the Southerner can help with his interviewing and real world skills as well.
Outside of writing, Chinander-McFaul enjoys playing guitar and piano and listening to music on vinyl and cassette tapes. He would describe his music taste as “anything that sounds nice,” which includes alternative, synth and various national anthems.
Chinander-McFaul is also a history buff with a collection of historical artifacts, one favorite being a globe from the 1930s.
Surely Chinander-McFaul’s creativity and knowledge will get him far in his journalistic endeavors.
