Debuting with her first year, The Southerner welcomes Hazel Mckinney to its staff! Being a freshman with a fresh face she felt as though that it’d be fun to get involved around the school. The Southerner staff is the place to do it! In Mckinney’s free time she likes to play all kinds of sports, some of which include; soccer, hockey, spring ultimate, skiing, sailing, and biking. Naturally she comes from an active family. Initially she joined the Southerner in hopes to improve her writing but is also considering a career in journalism. Although other career opportunities are just as exciting. Keep your eye out for her at south high sports events!
