Yasemin Isaacs, Staff Writer
Yasemin Isaacs is an excited freshman, eager to begin her journey on the Southerner’s staff. Isaacs went to Seward Montessori, which she says was ok, albeit boring. In her free time, Isaacs enjoys knitting, listening to acoustic music, and most importantly… Circus.
Isaacs has dedicated almost her whole life to her work at Xelias, mainly focusing on aerial arts. Isaacs first started circus after quitting ballet when she was 4. Instead of being forced into doing some sport by her parents, she opted to do circus instead. Isaacs says doing Circus Smirkus, a 3 week circus camp in Vermont, was some of the most fun she’s ever had.
Isaacs first wanted to join the Southerner after meeting some editors at the open house, and she is most excited to begin writing her first opinions story. Isaacs hopes to improve her writing, as well as being able to add the experience to her college applications!
