Abreham Tekele, Staff Writer
Abreham Tekele is “on a roll,” starting his senior year at South and his first year with the Southerner. He joined the newspaper because he was told it was going to be an eventful class and he is excited to see if it lives up to expectations. Outside of school, Tekele enjoys playing soccer, pickleball (with the old white folks), and ping pong. He says he’s “crazy” at pickleball and ping pong, but just “okay” at soccer—however it should be noted that he’s playing varsity soccer this year. Tekele also spends time watching movies, eating food, and hanging out with his family.
Tekele has a variety of unique talents, including but not limited to juggling and imitating crow, cricket, and dolphin noises. However, the animal noise skills may have been lost to time. This year, Tekele is looking forward to getting into colleges and receiving scholarships, as well as writing an amazing newspaper and finishing out his senior year strong.
