Finn Davies is a junior at South going into his first year on the Southerner as a staff writer. Outside of school and expectations, Davies enjoys swimming competitively with his team, Minnesota Flyers. Alongside school and the pool, (quite literally), Davies is a lifeguard. “I don’t love it, but I’m sticking with it.” According to Davies’ dreams and ambitions of becoming a swim instructor, he needs to stick with the lifeguarding for a certification class in instructing later down the road. Essentially, mans gotta thug it out till then. Davies' favorite things usually start with P. Pina coladas (virgin of course), Pineda, and pineapple, to name a few. There's a recurring theme within Davies' life and the letter P. I guess you could say he's pushing P.

Davies is excited to be a part of the Southerner this year, despite accidentally checking the box titled “newspaper” on his class request form. He thought it read “new paper,” which aligns with his love of the letter P, and his love of new book scent. Let's just say he got a little too excited to thoroughly read the class description. Davies' hopes for the Southerner this year include involving student perspective and community more, as well as emphasizing new and changing policies within South, with the aim of keeping people up to speed on their school.
